Designer, mediocre synthesizer-player, beverage professional, and cat dad. I get bored easily; Fortunately, I typically have the energy to keep myself entertained.

I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and cozied up with Columbus when I went to school at Ohio State to study Neuroscience; That is until I landed more appropriately on Human-Computer Interaction.

When I was at OSU, I learned how to design concert posters for famous people that will never see them, how to predict some of the decisions you might make while trying to learn French on your phone, how to make you feel more infatuated with Siri, and perhaps most importantly, how to play nice with under-caffeinated adults. That was pretty cool.

I want to make digital products that leave your internet savvy pre-teen swooning at my scroll transitions while also making your grandpa not feeling out-of-touch. The second part is worth highlighting; Why do we let that happen so often?

I’m a sentimental guy, so I want everyone at the party; You should be able to interact with things I make in a way that makes you feel comfortable, whether you’re colorblind, gender-fluid, young, old, or average as hell.

So come on in - stay awhile. If you want to talk to me about typography, graphic design, usability research, user-interface design, and probably some other stuff, just let me know; I like to make things, and I’d love to hear from your expertise to help you with your next project.
